Fresh War Erupts Over Mugabe Remains

A fresh war has erupted over the burial  of the late president Robert Mugabe with a Zvimba villager dragging the erstwhile strongman's widow Grace to a traditional court over the matter. Mugabe, who died in September 2019 aged 95, was buried at his Kutama homestead in Zvimba after Grace and her children rejected government's offer to have his remains interred at the National Heroes Acre in Harare.   A United Kingdom (UK) based Zimbabwean herbalist who killed a woman last year by giving her too much nicotine during a healing ritual, causing her “toxic trauma”, has been slapped with a two-year jail term. Lyndon Nindi traveled to Nottingham on the 16th of February last year to treat a UK-based Zimbabwean woman Sophia Jekecha’s stomach problems. reports that Nottingham Crown Court heard that the 49-year-old was following a “traditional” Zimbabwean system using tobacco in the form of snuff, causing her to collapse. Gweru Car Dealer Shoots Four& Kills Two In Domestic Dispute

A prominent car dealer in Gweru, Peter Dube last night opened fire on four people, killing two and injuring the other two including his wife Nyasha Nharingo following a domestic dispute at their residence in the central business district. Among the deceased is Shelton Chinhango who was shot at close range while seated in his car as he tried to flee the violent suspect. Nyasha is in critical condition after she was shot through the neck.Dube accused Chinhango of having an affair with his wife Nyasha. 143 Drug Dealers Nabbed As Police Raid Drug Bases

143 drug dealers have been arrested following a police crackdown on drug peddlers and syndicates in Chitungwiza and Harare. So far police have raided areas like Mbare, Chitungwiza, Mabvuku, Epworth, Dzivarasekwa, Glen Norah, Mufakose, Southview, and Highfield which are festooned with drug peddlers, who range from pushers to suppliers, with links to international drug trafficking rings. Chiwenga Says Vaccine Certificate Will Soon Be A Passport

Vice-President and Health minister Constantino Chiwenga warned yesterday that government could soon be forced to make the COVID-19 vaccination certificate a prerequisite for public services if citizens continue shunning the inoculation exercise. Zimbabwean Nurse Fakes Husband’s Death In UK & Tries To Claims £400,000 Insurance 

United-Kingdom based Zimbabwean nurse has been sentenced to two years probation and 100 hours of community service following an audacious attempt at insurance fraud. The nurse tried to claim almost £ 400,000. (US$ 554,000) by faking her husband’s death.   51-year-old Thuile Bhebhe claimed that her husband had died in Zimbabwe in August 2016 and attempted to get life insurance worth £397,153 from Aviva. She submitted fake documents, including a forged death certificate which showed that her husband had purportedly died in Nkayi, Matabeleland North.
