Komichi Breaks His Silence Chamisa Will Get A Thorough Beating In December Elections

MDC-T Acting Chairperson and Harare Senator Morgan Komichi, says his former party boss MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa should expect a beating in the upcoming December Council by-elections.

Komichi is adamant they will win
Speaking to Open Council on Tuesday following nationwide recall of councillors including Marondera, Beitbridge and Gwanda Mayors by his new party boss Thokozani Khupe, Komichi was adamant they will win.

“Yes, we will retain all Councillors throughout the country,” Komichi replied when asked if the MDC-T is confident of winning the upcoming by-elections.

Komichi said his party structures are already on the ground leading the door to door campaign ahead of the by-elections.

“Our structures are already on the ground doing door to door programs.”

Harare Is Ours-Komichi
Harare which has been traditionally the stronghold of the main opposition since 2000, Komichi said will be the city where MDC Alliance councillors should expect a serious defeat.

“This, I can assure you. Victory is certain,” Komichi said.

The MDC-T’s move to recall councillors has left Harare and Beitbridge short of being taken over by the government installed commissions.

Since the 30 March 2020 Supreme Court ruling on the MDC leadership wrangle, Khupe has been on rampage effecting recalls on both Parliamentarians and Councillors.

She has targeted those who have refused to recognise her as an acting party President as declared by the court.
