February 5, 2024 TWO juvenile rape cases were reported at various schools last week.
In one of the cases reported, a schoolboy, only identified as Manyengavana, 15, was arrested and released into the custody of her mother.
He is alleged to have raped a Grade Five pupil, aged 11, in Budiriro.The matter came to light on the same day, at around 2200hours, when the student’s mother returned home and found her still awake.
“She asked the complainant what was the problem and she told her about the case.
“The student was escorted to Family Support Clinic for medical examination and treatment.”
