The Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr Obediah Moyo has confirmed the death of Zororo Makamba, who was the second person to test positive for Covid-19 in Zimbabwe.
This follows a day after the ministry claimed that all patients were stable and one of the them on the way to recovery.
The ministry is also said to have initially denied that Zororo Makamba was one of the first 3 patients who tested positive for the virus in Zimbabwe. A move which was seen as waiving the patient-doctor confidentiality clause.
Zororo is said to have collapsed and died at Wilkins Hospital according to business tycoon, Mutumwa Mawere who first broke the news.

According to the other reports, Zororo had underlying health conditions after he had a surgery performed to remove a tumor on his chest.
ZORORO Makamba, son to prominent businessman James Makamba, has died of coronavirus while in Zimbabwe. He had been admitted at Harare Wilkins Infectious Diseases Hospital since last week.
Zororo was the second coronavirus case reported by Health Minister Obadiah Moyo last week. The talented television presenter is said to have succumbed to the disease this Monday morning.
South Africa based Zimbabwe businessman Mutumwa Mawere, who worked closely with James Makamba, also shared the news on his Twitter.
