Zanupf Deputy Minister Vaitwa Rough Nemusangano

Higher and Tertiary Education Deputy Minister Simelisizwe Sibanda has been prohibited from accessing Zanu PF offices, attending any party meeting or gathering, and exercising his duty as a District Coordinating Committee member with effect from 24 August.

Sibanda, the Bubi MP, was disciplined for allegedly refusing to cooperate with the Bubi DCC and creating parallel structures. He was also charged with making utterances that embarrassed the DCC leadership.

The Zanu PF Matabeleland North Provincial Disciplinary Committee issued the prohibition order against Subanda, which will stand until his matter is finalised.

Last year, Sibanda was fired from the government after he was recorded bashing a Shona-speaking teacher in Bubi. Sibanda questioned why a Shona-speaking educator was deployed in Bubi, a Ndebele-speaking area.

He was later reinstated as a Deputy Minister.
