There was drama at the Master of the High Court’s offices when relatives of the late rapist and polygamist Robert Martin Gumbura clashed with his 17 wives over inheritance matters. Gumbura’s relatives clashed with his 17 widows over the appointment of the executor of his estate. In August, Robert Martin Gumbura, the former leader of the RGM End Time Message church, died after succumbing to Covid-19 related complications. At the time of his death, he was serving a 40-year jail sentence (later reduced to 20 after an appeal) at the Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison for multiple counts of rape.
