Former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Nelson Chamisa, has said he is not involved with any current political organisation or movement. Since he resigned from CCC on 25 January 2024, Chamisa has not publicly stated his plans despite some of his key allies such as Amos Chibaya, Gift Siziba and Prince Dubeko Sibanda holding mini-rallies where he is eulogised. Chamisa deposed an opposing affidavit at the Bulawayo High Court on 27 February 2024 in response to Sengezo Tshabangu, who, posing as the interim CCC Secretary General, filed an urgent chamber application in early February to recover the party’s provincial offices in Bulawayo.
Two suspected armed robbers were arrested at a toll gate along the Mashava-Mhandamabwe tollgate on Monday leading to the recovery of property worth over US$15 000. The arrest of Jacob Danda (36) and Michael Moyo (also known as Joseph Ushe) (27) at the tollgate led detectives to their accomplices, Tinashe Marufu (23) and Prince Ncube (37). The robbers, according to police, used juju to avoid being caught. Four People Killed As Police Pickup Truck Collides With Trip Trans BusFour people were killed along Harare-Chirundu Road on Wednesday when a police pickup truck collided head-on with a Trip Trans Bus. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the accused which occurred at the 65-kilometre peg along Harare-Chirundu Road. Four other people died whilst 13 others were injured in another road traffic accident which occurred around 3 PM on Monday at the 113-kilometre peg along Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road.
