Simba pa Copacabana

Sharing this to spread awareness. There is a guy who is scamming people at Copacabana called Simbarashe. He gives you a very good exchange rate, then when you give him your card, he uses his point of sale (POS) machine and makes it look like it has no network. He then enters an amount and tells you to enter your PIN. When you enter the PIN, it will look like the network has failed, but he will have already taken your money.

He keeps telling you “try again,” and he continues taking small amounts from you without you noticing, and no message comes from the bank to show that money is being deducted.

After that he says, “Since the network is refusing, please give me back the cash I gave you,” so you return his money plus the money he has already taken from your card. This happened to me yesterday, 28/11/25. At first he deliberately used tap and go option and took 400 ZiG, then the second time he deliberately put 3100 ZiG instead of 31000 ZiG. I later checked my bank statement, but by then he was already avoiding me until I looked for him with the police.

He does this to many people every day. I just want people to be aware coz pane vakawanda vakuitirwa izvi vasingazive. Ini i was just lucky kuti i stood my ground ndika recover mari yangu. Its a syndicate he operates with these ladies.

Ava ndovanevakagara muStreet vachiku lure neRate riri bho kana wabvuma vofonera Siimbarashe mopinda mese muBar ravakazembera iro. So apa its the following day randakatora this pic vakubatanidza mari kuti vandidzorere.
