Helpless Chamisa Watches As Khupe Gets $7 Million MDC Funds From Government

Thokozani Khupe gets $7.5 million from the government. The government believes Khupe is the legitimate leader of the MDC Alliance and is entitled to the $7,4 million despite her having lost the 2018 elections to the same party he now claims to lead.

Thokozani Khupe led minority party MDC-T received $7.5 million on Friday from the government despite the Nelson Chamisa led MDC Alliance having obtained a provisional court order barring the Zimbabwean government from disbursing the funds to MDC-T according to the Political Parties Finance Act.

Every political party represented in parliament is entitled to receive the funds as required by the Political Parties Finances Act Chapter 2:11.

In the provisional order, High Court judge Justice Munangati Manongwa instructed the respondents Justice Minister Ziyambi, Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube and Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda – have 10 days to respond to this ruling.

In the interim order, Justice Manongwa said, “The 1st and 2nd respondents be and are hereby interdicted, barred from disbursing the sum of $7,492.500 due to the applicant in terms of the Political Parties (Finance) Act Chapter 2:11 in the sum of $7,492,500.”

The MDC Alliance has started its own campaign to raise funds for the party from its supporters. They launched the MDC Alliance website that enables members to subscribe online.

The MDC Alliance is facing a vicious fight from Thokozani Khupe led MDC-T that is believed to be backed by the Zanu PF Government . The Supreme court gave a controversial ruling on the 30th of March ordering the MDC formations to return to its 2014 structures.

The controversial ruling saw MDC-T recalling legislators and Councillors from Zimbabwe’s largest opposition MDC Alliance. The minority party was reportedly assisted by the military and the police to take over the MDC Alliance headquarters – Harvest House and have since enjoyed many other government benefits. The MDC-T is still to hold their extraordinary congress as instructed by the Supreme Court.

Truck Collision Attorney: Why You Need Expert Legal Representation After a Crash

A truck collision attorney plays a critical role when victims are involved in accidents with large commercial vehicles. These cases are far more complex than standard car accidents due to federal regulations, multiple liable parties, and the severity of damages. Hiring an experienced attorney ensures that victims can navigate legal challenges while focusing on recovery. From investigating the crash to gathering evidence like driver logs and maintenance records, a skilled lawyer builds a strong case for maximum compensation.

Addiction Treatment Centers: What Families Should Know Before Choosing Rehab

Choosing an addiction treatment center is a major decision for families. Addiction affects health, relationships, finances, work, and emotional stability. The right treatment program can help a person begin recovery with professional support.

rnrn

Treatment options vary. Some people need inpatient rehab, where they live at the facility and receive structured care. Others may choose outpatient treatment, where they attend therapy while continuing to live at home.

rnrn

Inpatient treatment may be helpful for people with severe addiction, unsafe home environments, repeated relapse, or co-occurring mental health concerns. Outpatient care may work for people with strong support systems and less severe symptoms.

rnrn

Detox may be necessary before treatment begins, especially for substances that can cause withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox helps manage withdrawal safely under professional supervision.

rnrn

A quality treatment center should offer individualized treatment plans. Addiction recovery is not one-size-fits-all. People may need therapy, group counseling, medication-assisted treatment, mental health support, family counseling, and relapse prevention planning.

rnrn

Families should ask about licensing, staff qualifications, treatment methods, medical support, aftercare planning, and insurance coverage.

rnrn

Cost is an important concern. Some rehab centers accept private insurance, Medicaid, or payment plans. Families should verify coverage before admission to avoid surprise bills.

rnrn

Aftercare is one of the most important parts of recovery. Treatment should not end when a person leaves the facility. Ongoing therapy, support groups, sober living, and relapse prevention can help maintain progress.

rnrn

Families should avoid programs that promise instant cures. Recovery takes time, honesty, and support.

rnrn

The best addiction treatment center is one that treats the whole person, not just the substance use. With the right care, recovery is possible.
