This comes amidst rumours that the Mugabe’s have been financially struggling following reports that, Grace Mugabe’s eldest son, Russell Goreraza had his car repossessed by the bank. iHarare reported yesterday that the former first family was in financial trouble after it emerged that Russell’s R1.2-million Range Rover was repossessed by South African bank, Wesbank, after failing to pay his monthly instalments for the vehicle. According to well-placed sources at the bank who refused to be named, Rusell confessed that he is currently experiencing liquidity problems.
HE TOLD US THAT HIS MINE AND FARMWORKERS IN ZIMBABWE WERE ON STRIKE AND THIS HAD RESULTED IN A LOSS OF INCOME FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY. HE THEN TOLD MY COLLEAGUES WHO REPOSSESS CARS THAT ALTHOUGH HE WAS IN ZIMBABWE, HE WAS GIVING THEM PERMISSION TO GO AND TAKE THE CAR FROM HIS HOUSE,’ SAID THE SOURCE.
