Bev & Chambuka Mufudzi Story
Controversial dancer Beverly Sibanda (28) yesterday left tongues wagging at Harare Magistrates Court after her legal marriage ceremony.
She married Chambuka Mufudzi (43), who is a medical doctor in the UK. Bev, popularly known for her raunchy dances, caused a stir at Rotten Row despite attempts to avoid attention. Sibanda was dressed decently in a floral formal long sleeved dress and her husband dressed in a blue suit.
Harare Provincial magistrate Joy Chikodzore presided over the marriage ceremony.
Bev was seemingly unfazed by the H-Metro camera during the ceremony. However, the newly wedded couple left the court separately in a bid divert attention.
Meanwhile, Bev’s manager Hapaguti “Hapaz” Mapimhidze reckons the raunchy dancer has silenced her doubting Thomases after she tied the knot with her UK based lover. He likened Bev to a ‘miracle baby’ after she tied the knot with Mufudzi Chambuka yesterday at the Harare Magistrates’ Court.
Bev’s court wedding has since sent the social media overdrive as dancer is been widely linked with several men.
Many had written her off as a “hothead” while others were of the opinion she was a loose woman.
Bev has over the years been linked with several prominent people including footballers, top musicians, music promoters and foreign-based business executives.
However, her manager and most trusted lieutenant – Hapaz – said Bev was just waiting for her tome to come.
“Good things come to those who have patience and Bev is one of the people who have showed us that patience and good choice pay,” he said.
“I have known Bev for a while and for the past 11 or so years that I have been managing her affairs, our chemistry grew beyond words. “I consider her for my daughter because I have been managing both her career and personal life.”
Speaking on Bev’s ‘bad girl’ tag, which she carried for the better part of her career, Hapaz said the Sexy Angels boss has proved a point that nothing is impossible in life.
“I know you have been writing her controversies but this time around I think you now have good news to write about.
“She has proved a point that true love still exists as is the case with Bev and Mufudzi,” he said.
Asked why the marriage has been a long kept secret, Hapaz said:
“In life there comes a time when privacy is needed because at times lack on it may jeorpadises a lot of things in life.
“By the way, Bev and Mufudzi have been dating for a while and the two would chat over the phone.
“Three weeks ago, Mufudzi paid lobola to Bev’s family and he will be returning to the UK mid-February.
“The lobola ceremony went according to plan and we are glad their marriage was blessed by elders.
“The wedding thing was fast tracked because he wants to finalise the paper work before he returns to his base.”
Hapaz said Bev’s husband was supportive of his wife’s career path.
“From what I have gathered, Bev will continue dancing as long as she still has the energy.
“Her husband was aware of Bev’s profession before they married and he is a responsible man who respects his woman.
“He has been sponsoring some of her tours and we are glad that they genuinely love each other.”
On why Bev opted to settle with a little known man when she had been linked with several prominent people, Hapaz said:
“It appears some people wanted to waste her time but as I indicated earlier on, she was just waiting for the right time to come.
“She would tell me of every person who dated her and I would give her advice as a father figure to her.
“We have been to Magaya’s church where other people were after her and we have also been to foreign lands but Bev was not tempted.”
Hapaz appealed to Bev’s past ‘boyfriends’ to leave her alone as she starts a new life.
“I urge people to respect Bev’s privacy especially some of the man who can lot let of the past.
“I will urge her to continue praying for her marriage because it is bound to be tested.”
Walter Magaya & Bev Story
Raunchy dancer, Beverly “Bev” Sibanda has distanced herself from recent allegations of bonde abuse aimed at Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder and leader, Walter Magaya.
There were rumors that Bev could have been involved in an affair with Magaya after he reportedly opened a shop for her when she became a member of his church.
In a recent video, Bev said that she is financially independent and has nothing to do with the Magaya saga.
I would not sleep with Magaya for money! I make a lot of income enough to fend for my needs from my job. Sleeping with Magaya for that tiny shop he opened for me? What do you really take me for? Leave me out of Magaya’s business, please do not involve my name in his matters.
I do not even know what Magaya’s manhood looks like, I only saw it covered under his pants. Just because I am a dancer it does not mean I am a hure. It is not like once a woman gets famous she automatically becomes a hure.
Bev & Andy Muridzo Story
I’m madly in love with Andy Muridzo says Beverly Sibanda
Q: Reports suggest you are two months pregnant after an affair with Dherira singer, Kudzai Andrew Ngwenya — better known as Andy Muridzo. Do you intend to get married to him?
A: We are still in love. He loves me and I love him too, thanks to his abusive wife who always “chases” him away from their home. At times he would come here crying after being abused and I ended up accommodating him here for some days. One thing he admires most on me, my faithfulness to him. He knows that I don’t cheat on him. He always finds me alone here and he loves that. Sometimes he would pay me surprise visits just to check if I am cheating, but I’m very loyal to him.
Q: Has Andy Muridzo introduced you to some of his close relatives?
A: Even his family relatives now love me because Andy’s wife is very abusive. She does not even want to see Andy with his phone, she now keeps it herself.
At one point, she called me using a private mobile number and hurled some obscenities, shouting at me for accommodating Andy. That was funny.
Manje ini (but) I do not care at all. If he (Muridzo) decides to move-in, I do not have a problem with that since I am carrying his baby. I wish the baby will be a girl since I already have a boy who is now in Grade Three, but however, I will see the results next week when I visit the doctors for a scan.
Q: You have been linked to a number of boyfriends before Muridzo and these include Peter Moyo, Khama Biliat and reportedly Walter Magaya among others. What is really happening?
A: I never dated Magaya, those were just rumours. With Peter we are still communicating, he is now a friend. Some of Biliat’s closest friends called me after a local tabloid carried the pregnancy story and they wanted to know if it was true. I heard Billiat even carried the paper to South Africa.
Q: How do you feel about being labelled a sex worker by a section of society?
A: It is disturbing. I am not a prostitute and society should come to terms with commercial dancers. Away from the stage, I have a private life just like other people. It is only that I am a public figure.
I only have boyfriends but one at a time, just like what other people are doing.
Q: You seem to be leading a good life here, with your new and good household furniture, what else do you do for a living apart from pole dancing?
A: Most of my money comes from the stage. I am set to perform in Australia in April alongside Ricky Fire. Here in Zimbabwe, I stage paying shows. Here, I am paying close to $500 a month for this apartment as rentals.
However, apart from the stage, I own a Toyota Quantum vehicle which I am hiring out to local pre-schools.
Q: What is the secret behind your success in the industry?
A: My manager Harperz Mapimhidze stood behind me since the word go. We have known each other for so long that we now understand each other and know each other’s boundaries. That is very good for the growth of any business.
Most of the artists are failing to make it in the industry because they find poor managers who do not understand them as individuals and the vision of the business.
