Alick Macheso 2020 Igore Rangu Mirayi Moune

SUNGURA maestro Alick Macheso has shared his 2020 resolutions.

In an interview with H-Metro, the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society humanitarian ambassador took time to speak on road safety, attitude on the roads and family.

“As we said our goodbyes to 2019, tinotenda musiki atipinza mugore rino ra 2020,” he said. Macheso urged motorists to be cautious and responsible on the roads.

“Hakuna hwahwa hutsva mazuva ose in 2020, even the cars that we drive, the bus stops and the roads are still the same.

“Many drive as if they do not have children or relatives or parents, be patient for that little time you are on the steering wheel.

“Unomhanyirepi, nemotor yako pachako? Even if you are sent by its owner, he or she will smile at you when you are back safe with his or her vehicle
“God looks after people who are careful about themselves,” said Macheso.

He said many accidents were being caused by over excitement.

“Kuwonererwa ndochirwere chikuru mumugwagwa, vanoda kuwonererwa huyayi pastage ndopa highway yemanyemwe ipopaye, towonererwa tese tichifadza vanhu tichibhadharwa, kwete tichiurayisa vana nevabereki vasina mhosva.

“Let us be responsible in 2020 by just saying I am not going to get over excited or angry at any cost.

“Do not speed, why not behave like mature people who are educated,” he said.

Macheso said there was still room to reform. “Chingoti uchigeza so, wongoti, in 2020 I want to surprise many by stopping that habit which did not bring bread on my table.
“…just give yourself assignments, tough tests, like I am no longer going to be angry when upset anyhow by any driving,” he said.

Macheso also took time to educate people to mind their health in 2020.

“I urge people to regularly take lots of water than drinks, kana doro tinwe tichidira mvura, zvibhodhoro vanakomana mazvinyanya.

“Whisky and brands are supposed to be taken just a tot per day, not to take the whole bottle without even eating or diluting in few minutes.

“Due to global climate change, mvura yarambira mudenga, no more rain, we were used to farming for our basic food, even here in towns, we used to farm on small pieces of land but due to heat waves and climatic changes, all is history today.”

Macheso also showed his understanding of biology.

“Human body is 60 percent water that was said by H.H. Mitchell in the book called Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, chiwona manje, pfungwa dzedu idzi dzinova ndidzo munhu, human brain and heart take 73 percent water, worse the lungs using 83 percent water.

Medicare Supplement Plans: How Medigap Works

rnrn

Medicare Supplement Insurance, also called Medigap, helps pay certain out-of-pocket costs left by Original Medicare.

rnrn

For many people, Medigap is appealing because it can make health care costs more predictable.

rnrn

Medicare says Medigap is extra insurance sold by private companies to help pay your share of costs in Original Medicare, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

rnrn

Who Can Buy a Medigap Policy?

rnrn

Generally, you need Original Medicare Part A and Part B to buy a Medigap policy.

rnrn

Medigap works with Original Medicare. It is not the same as Medicare Advantage.

rnrn

This matters because you generally cannot use Medigap to pay Medicare Advantage plan costs.

rnrn

What Does Medigap Cover?

rnrn

Medigap policies may help with costs such as:

rnrn

Part A coinsurance
rnPart B coinsurance or copayments
rnBlood costs
rnSkilled nursing facility coinsurance
rnPart A deductible
rnForeign travel emergency coverage, depending on plan
rnOut-of-pocket gaps in Original Medicare

rnrn

Coverage depends on the specific plan letter.

rnrn

Medicare provides a comparison chart showing what different Medigap plan letters cover.

rnrn

Medigap Plan Letters

rnrn

Medigap plans are standardized by letter in most states.

rnrn

Common plan letters include:

rnrn

Plan A
rnPlan B
rnPlan D
rnPlan G
rnPlan K
rnPlan L
rnPlan M
rnPlan N

rnrn

The benefits for a plan letter are standardized, but prices can differ by insurance company.

rnrn

For example, Plan G benefits are generally the same standard benefits regardless of company, but premium pricing and service may vary.

rnrn

Medigap vs. Medicare Advantage

rnrn

This is a major decision.

rnrn

Medigap Works With Original Medicare

rnrn

You keep Original Medicare and add Medigap to help with out-of-pocket costs. You may also buy a separate Part D plan for prescriptions.

rnrn

Medicare Advantage Replaces How You Receive Medicare Benefits

rnrn

Medicare Advantage plans are private plans that provide Part A and Part B benefits as an alternative to Original Medicare.

rnrn

The choice affects doctor access, network rules, drug coverage, monthly premiums, and out-of-pocket costs.

rnrn

When Is the Best Time to Buy Medigap?

rnrn

Medicare says your federal Medigap Open Enrollment Period lasts 6 months and starts the first month you have Medicare Part B and are 65 or older. During this period, you have important rights when buying Medigap.

rnrn

If you apply later, medical underwriting may apply in many situations, depending on your state and circumstances.

rnrn

Medigap Pros

rnrn

Potential advantages include:

rnrn

Predictable out-of-pocket costs
rnWorks with Original Medicare
rnNo Medicare Advantage network rules
rnHelpful for frequent travelers
rnStandardized benefits
rnCan reduce surprise medical bills

rnrn

Medigap Cons

rnrn

Potential disadvantages include:

rnrn

Monthly premium
rnUsually requires separate Part D drug plan
rnDoes not usually include dental, vision, or hearing extras
rnPricing can increase over time
rnMay be harder to buy later depending on rules

rnrn

How to Compare Medigap Plans

rnrn

Compare:

rnrn

Plan letter benefits
rnMonthly premium
rnRate increase history
rnCompany reputation
rnHousehold discounts
rnEnrollment timing
rnCustomer service
rnAvailability in your state
rnWhether you need Part D separately

rnrn

Do not choose only by brand name. Since benefits are standardized by plan letter, price and service matter.

rnrn

Who May Like Medigap?

rnrn

Medigap may be a strong fit for people who:

rnrn

Want provider flexibility
rnTravel often
rnPrefer Original Medicare
rnWant predictable costs
rnSee specialists frequently
rnDo not want network restrictions
rnCan afford a monthly premium

rnrn

Final Thoughts

rnrn

Medicare Supplement plans can help reduce the financial gaps in Original Medicare.

rnrn

If you want flexibility, predictable cost-sharing, and fewer network concerns, Medigap may be worth comparing. But timing matters, and premiums vary.

rnrn

Before buying, compare plan letters, prices, Part D needs, and long-term affordability.

Top Reasons to Hire a Truck Collision Attorney Immediately After an Accident

Timing is crucial after a truck accident, and hiring a truck collision attorney immediately can make a significant difference. Critical evidence such as surveillance footage, witness statements, and electronic logging device data can quickly disappear if not preserved. An attorney acts fast to secure this information and prevent trucking companies from altering or losing valuable records.

rnrn

Early legal intervention also helps victims avoid costly mistakes when dealing with insurance adjusters. Many individuals unknowingly accept low settlement offers or make statements that weaken their claims. A truck accident attorney protects clients from these pitfalls while guiding them through every step of the legal process, ensuring their rights are fully protected.
