Yesterday’s POLAD executive principals meeting was rocked with power struggles, heated arguments and skulduggery as principals of other parties cried foul over MDC-T’s dominance in leadership roles in POLAD sub-committees. Thokozani Khupe, the MDC-T President who is the chairperson of the international re-engagement team, was under attack from most of the principals as they challenged and “harassed” her party members who occupy most of the chairmanship or deputy positions including as rapporteurs in nearly every committee in POLAD. Chairperson of the Zimbabwe National War Veterans Association, Ambassador Chris Mutsvangwa says it is high time MDC Alliance leader Advocate Nelson Chamisa to join the political actors dialogue (Polad) if his party is serious about rebuilding the economy. Mutsvangwa says Chamisa wants to get favor and validation from SADAC & the USA instead of dealing with Zanu PF and the laws of Zimbabwe.
A few weeks ago, Zimbolivenews received a call from an MDC National Council member. He said some senior members of the MDC were concerned that Chamisa was no longer interested in leaving opposition politics. Senior members were concerned that key donors no longer wanted anything to do with the MDC. What Happened to the Money? The senior member said MDC Alliance money was stolen through two methods : 1. Nelson Chamisa receives 60% into the President’s fund for projects. This amount used to be 20%. However , instead of using this 60% to do presidential activities, Chamisa would come back and take from the 40% that is remaining for the whole party to do his activities. Renowned man of God Apostle Chiwenga is back at his old tricks, this time attacking the ruling party Zanu PF . The seasoned Gomba preacher has labelled Zanu PF as stupid at his recent sermon in Harare. Speaking to his congregants he said given the opportunity Zanu would want everything to be called by its name. Former ZANU PF political commissar and G40 kingpin Saviour Kasukuwere has been caught in the land audit dragnet and is set to lose his Mazowe farm, Zim Morning Post has learnt. His farm manager Shephered Siyanganga received the withdrawal letter Wednesday and signed the acknowledgment of receipt. MDC leader Nelson Chamisa was expected to deliver a key speech to supporters in Mbare on Wednesday The MDC said police had blocked party leader Nelson Chamisa from making an address to Zimbabweans in Mbare on Wednesday.
