Thokozani Khupe Kutorera Chamisa Everything She Now Wants To Take Ownership Of MDC Alliance Name

Acting MDC-T president Thokozani Khupe wants to claim ownership of the MDC Alliance name from the Nelson Chamisa-led party, an official confirmed yesterday. Khupe’s faction, which seized control of the MDC Alliance headquarters Morgan Richard Tsvangirai House with the assistance of police and army last month, recalled several parliamentarians and clandestinely received $7,5 million from government under the Political Parties Finances Act. According to senior ruling party politburo members, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, is going to make the announcement later today, after the Politburo, which is currently meeting for an ordinary session finishes it's business. Job Wiwo Sikhala Goes Musango In Hiding

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government has allegedly deployed several teams of intelligence officers to hunt down MDC Alliance deputy national chairman Job Sikhala, who has gone into hiding ahead of planned public demonstrations on July 31. The teams have made several visits to Sikhala’s Chitungwiza home, but failed to locate him. Sikhala allegedly went into hiding soon after the arrest of July 31 protests organiser and opposition Transform Zimbabwe leader Jacob Ngarivhume as well as journalist Hopewell Chin’ono for allegedly inciting violence ahead of the protests. MDC-T interim leader Thokozani Khupe has crossed swords with party acting secretary-general Douglas Mwonzora after the latter last week reportedly sponsored a clique of Harare province structures to nominate him for the position of president at the extraordinary congress. A gathering of about 38 party activists held a meeting at Harvest House on Tuesday last week and resolved to nominate Mwonzora for the presidency. The development has reportedly miffed Khupe who expects to be elected substantive president unopposed at the congress, whose date is yet to be announced. A 99 Year Old Granny From Tsholotsho Resurrected From Graveyard

A 99-year-old granny from Tsholotsho, Matabeleland North left villagers shocked after she moved her body just as she was about to be buried. Mrs Nkazanyana Ncube from Kwine village under Chief Gampu who was buried yesterday, ‘resurrected’ twice as villagers attemped to bury her. She died at her homestead and was not certified dead by a doctor. Mrs Ncube is said to have died on Saturday at about 3AM and resurrected as fellow villagers were about to bury her the same day forcing them to take her back into the house.
