MAGAYA ARRESTED IN CHITOWN A man from Waterfalls, Kudzanayi Magaya, was arrested on Wednesday for kidnapping and pretending to be a police officer in Chitungwiza. His three brothers, Tongayi, Never, and Roderick Magaya, are also accused of the same crimes. The four allegedly attacked two young men, Tadiwanashe Kugotsi (24) and Tafadzwa Chiyambira (22), near Chigovanyika Shopping Centre in St Mary’s. Zanu PF councilor-elect goes missing Former MDC Alliance candidate Gift Konjana, who won Chegutu Ward 1 in Mashonaland West on a Zanu PF ticket last Saturday, has gone missing under unclear circumstances, according to his family. Konjana’s eldest son, Hamandishe, confirmed the disappearance on Tuesday and said the family reported the matter. He said his father is now a missing person and that the case was reported at Pfupajena Police last week, but his whereabouts remain unknown. Police found large amounts of drugs at the premises of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries in Harare. The church is led by its founder, Walter Magaya. The drugs included different types of unregistered medicines such as metronidazole, clotrimazole, acyclovir cream, fluconazole tablets, cotrimoxazole pills, miconazole vaginal cream, CoQ10 vascular care, sodium bicarbonate injections, Stillen Aupatillin injections, and lip balm products. One of the directors at Yadah Hotel, where the drugs were found, Donald Makuvaza, appeared before Harare Magistrate Lisa Mutendereki.
