Witnessed a shocking incident on the road. Kombi iyi yaive nevana vanogona kusvika 32. The front seat alone looked like it had four passengers. Handizivi ava were being transported from which school but it was travelling from Harare CBD ichienda kuRuwa. The kombi had a yellow number plate (Reg number: AGN8817). It was not even branded as a scholar transport vehicle yet it was overloaded. A 31-year-old Harare man, identified by police as Caution Madiro Chikonamombe, popularly known as “Fombo,” has been arrested in connection with an alleged vehicle importation scam that reportedly defrauded several victims of thousands of United States dollars. The arrest forms part of an ongoing crackdown by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on online fraud, vehicle scams, and fraudulent property transactions. According to police investigations, Chikonamombe allegedly convinced several clients that he could facilitate the importation and delivery of motor vehicles from abroad.
