The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has approved a weekly day off and a N10,000 monthly transport allowance for civil servants in the state for three months, beginning from April 2026. The Nigeria Police Force has extradited a fugitive, Matthew Chukwuemeka Adebiyi, to the United Kingdom over alleged involvement in murder and drug trafficking. The Force said the extradition was carried out through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau Abuja following a formal request by UK authorities in September 2024 to locate, arrest and extradite the suspect. In a statement on Thursday, the Force Public Relations Officer, Anthony Placide, said the suspect was wanted over the alleged murder of one Joshua Boadu on June 18, 2018, after which he fled to Nigeria to evade arrest. The incident happened along the Bulawayo–Beitbridge Road, between Chipangali and the Gwanda tollgate, near the Much Binding area outside Bulawayo. It is believed that the kombi may have been carrying explosives when it burst into flames in the middle of the road. According to the ZRP, the explosion occurred between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
