Cow Herder Arrested Over Murehwa Murder Of 7 Year Old Boy

The seven-year-old Murehwa boy, whose mutilated body was found being eaten by dogs, was kidnapped and murdered last week for ritual purposes, allegedly by a herder and two others who sold the body parts for US$1 500, police said yesterday. Police yesterday arrested, Tafadzwa Shamba, on kidnap and murder charges and are now hunting down the two suspected accomplices. Police Bust Factory Repackaging Used Condoms

Authorities in Vietnam uncovered a vast number of used condoms being recycled and stocked for sale following a raid on an apartment on Saturday. According to local market monitors, nearly 324,000 used condoms, equivalent to 360 kilos, were recycled at the facility and would be sold on the market later. They confiscated all products at the facility, which is located at DX12, Hoa Nhut Quarter, Tan Vinh Hiep Ward, Binh Duong Province, located in southern Vietnam. Upon their swoop on the illegal production base, all the used condoms were found unpackaged and unlabeled. High Court judge, Justice Erica Ndewere has granted Zengeza West MP, Job Sikhala ZWL$ 50 000 bail. The opposition, MDC Alliance’s deputy chairperson’s was initially granted ZWL$ 25 000 bail, but it was raised to ZW$50 000 after court heard he has no title deeds to any of his properties. Justice Ndewere was unconvinced by the magistrate court’s earlier findings that the MP was likely to be a fugitive. “An accused person must be admitted to bail so that he keeps the fabric of his life in place,” she said. Job Wiwa Sikhala Granted $50 000 Bail Judge Blasts Police

HIGH Court judge Erica Ndewere Tuesday granted MDC Alliance vice-chairperson Job Sikhala $50 000 bail. Sikhala is facing charges of inciting public violence. He was arrested last month and has been in remand prison after he was denied bail at the magistrates’ court. In her ruling, the judge attacked the police of using social media in their investigations instead of establishing their own independent probe. She said Sikhala’s conduct was not of a fugitive running from the law, but he was fleeing from unidentified men who were following. There has been non-compliance with court order' - Muchehiwa lawyer Nqobani Sithole Impala Car Rental has frustrated efforts by lawyers for torture victim Tawanda Muchehiwa to recover vital information which would lead to the identification of state security agents who abducted him. The Bulawayo High Court ordered Impala to turn over to the lawyers personal details of the individual who hired out the Ford Ranger vehicle which was used in the abduction of the journalism student and nephew of ZimLive editor Mduduzi Mathuthu on July 30, the eve of planned anti-government protests. Two ZRP Officers Disappear With USD $20K

Two police officers were on Thursday dragged to court facing criminal abuse of office charges after they reportedly disappeared with US$20 000.   The two, Prosper Chimbumu, 29, and Onasis Muzanenhamo, 34, were not asked to plead when they appeared before Harare provincial magistrate Judith Taruvinga.
