DISGRACED?: A suspected US-based sx predator, Zvikomborero Maria Makedenge, 33, allegedly had unprotected sex..al intercourse with an under-age boy in Glen View, Harare.

Makedenge's trial has since started at the Harare Magistrates Court where she is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old boy without his consent.

The age of consent is pegged at 18 years in Zimbabwe.

It is the State's case that Makedenge, who is a girlfriend of a tenant who lives at the young lad's parents house, approached the boy in his bedroom on 2 August, 25.

She allegedly forced herself on the boy, and promised to take him to the US where she works.

This was to buy the boy's silence. But he narrated the alleged sexual attack to his sister who then reported to their mother.

A police report was filed leading to Makedenge's arrest.
