Zimbabwean Women in Birmingham Arrested After Allegedly Sending Man 159,000 Messages After First Date

BIRMINGHAM, UK — What was meant to be a first date quickly turned into what many are calling the most obsessive chat history ever recorded — and now  Zimbabwean women Melody Chipunza have been arrested in Birmingham after allegedly sending a man a staggering 159,000 messages following their initial meetup.

According to West Midlands Police, the bizarre case first came to light when the recipient reported his phone was “constantly buzzing” immediately after a first date with the suspects earlier this month. What started with a few texts soon escalated into a relentless barrage of messages that reportedly continued around the clock.

“Every notification felt like a mini earthquake,” the man told local media. “I’ve never seen anything like it — it was madness. I’d open my phone and there were hundreds at a time, every hour, every day.”

From Romantic to Ridiculous

Investigators estimate the message count reached an eye-watering 159,000, describing it as an “extraordinary volume” that prompted the unusual police response.

Officers say the messages included everything from emojis and voice notes to images and repetitive questions — so many that the phone’s storage was reportedly nearing capacity.

“We have never encountered anything on this scale before,” a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said. “This went far beyond normal communication, and at the request of the recipient we have taken appropriate action.”

Divorce Settlement Agreement: What Should Be Included?

A divorce settlement agreement explains how spouses will divide property, debt, custody, support, and other responsibilities. A clear agreement can help avoid future conflict.

rnrn

The agreement may include division of the marital home, bank accounts, vehicles, retirement accounts, credit card debt, business interests, and personal property.

rnrn

If children are involved, it should include custody, parenting time, child support, healthcare costs, school decisions, and holiday schedules.

Spousal support may also be included. The amount and duration depend on income, marriage length, earning ability, and state law.

A poorly written agreement can create problems later. It should be specific, realistic, and legally enforceable.

rnrn

Before signing, each spouse should understand the long-term impact. Once approved by the court, changing the agreement may be difficult.

rnrn

A divorce attorney can review the terms and help protect your interests before the agreement becomes final.
