Zimbabwean, South African arrested with stolen vehicles in Limpopo
A 45-year-old Zimbabwean national and a 43-year-old South African man and were arrested in Limpopo after police intercepted two vehicles allegedly stolen in Gauteng and believed to be headed for smuggling across the Beitbridge border.

Two suspects, aged 43 and 45, are expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Monday, 13 July 2026, after police intercepted two vehicles allegedly destined to be smuggled through the Beitbridge Port of Entry.
The arrests followed an intelligence-driven anti-smuggling operation conducted by the Limpopo Provincial Tracking Team and Provincial Investigation Unit, with support from private security partners.
Police intercepted the two vehicles travelling in convoy along the N1 South in the Westenburg policing area outside Polokwane.
Preliminary investigations revealed that:
A silver Toyota Corolla Cross, reported stolen in the Brooklyn policing area, Pretoria, was allegedly driven by a 43-year-old South African man, who was arrested.
A Mazda 2, reported stolen in the Silverton policing area, Pretoria, was allegedly driven by a 45-year-old Zimbabwean national, who was also arrested.
Both suspects have been charged with possession of suspected stolen motor vehicles. The recovered vehicles have been seized as investigations continue.
Police are continuing investigations into a possible cross-border vehicle smuggling network.
