Zimbabwe Defence Forces Generals Ese Gone

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed General Emmanuel Matatu as the new commander Zimbabwe Defence Forces while Lieutenant General Walter Tapfumaneyi is the commander Zimbabwe National Army. 

 

 

 

 

General Matatu was Lt-Gen and commander ZNA and Tapfumaneyi was a Major General in the army. 

 

 

 

General Matatu replaces General Phillip Sibanda. 

The appointment are with effect from 21 November, according to Dr Martin Rushwaya, the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet.
