Anga atosarirwa neFew meters kuti asvike pamba pavo.cloud of grief and uncertainty has descended over Ziko in Seke after two young people were found dead in separate locations following a disturbing incident on Monday night that has left residents demanding answers and heightened security

What is normally a bustling community has been shaken by the tragedy, with residents expressing fear as police continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the deaths and injuries sustained by other victims.

The first victim, 26-year-old Takudzwa Gumunyu, failed to return home after work on Monday.

His family launched a search after he did not arrive home as expected.

His mother, Mrs Tarisai Gumunyu, recounted the painful discovery.

“He went to work as usual, and we expected him back around 7pm. However, until early morning, we noticed he was not available. We heard rumours that there was a dead body in the bush.

“Then when we went there, the police were already there, and they were still identifying the person, so they told us to be still while they confirmed. Later, the body was confirmed to be him. He had several wounds behind his head and a deep cut behind his ear.”

As the community grappled with the loss, another resident, Ms Bridget Dzingirai, was discovered injured on Tuesday morning after being found lying in the grass.

She was assisted by resident Mr Tinashe Matanda, who helped reunite her with her family before she was taken for medical treatment.

“I found her in the morning, lying in the grass, struggling to walk as well as talk. I then took her home and shared the information with various neighbours, and we came up with little earnings to take her to the hospital,” he said.

Ms Dzingirai said she remembers little about the incident.

“I was walking from around 9pm alone. Then, when I was near a tuckshop, I saw a man behind me, and later he disappeared. I noticed another man in front, and he disappeared in a few minutes. I was unconscious from there. I do not know what happened. I only have cuts and pain in my left hand,” she said.

The community was dealt a further blow when the body of 21-year-old Panashe, a hairdresser, was later discovered in a grassy area by residents clearing vegetation near their homes.

According to reports, she had been walking home from work on Monday night.

Another survivor, Mr Isaac Nenyai, is receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the incident.

“I was going home late at night, holding a few groceries in my hand. I passed by a person. I think it was a giant lady in a long coat with her hands in her pockets, looking down with a hat on her head. From there, I was hit in the head and the back, then I was unconscious and later in the morning found myself in the bush. Then I walked a few steps and fainted,” he said.

Police attended the scenes and conveyed the bodies for post-mortem examinations as investigations continue.

The incidents have left residents fearful, with many expressing concern over safety and security within the community.

As investigations continue, families are mourning the loss of loved ones while survivors begin their recovery, hoping authorities will establish what transpired on the tragic night.

Best High-Yield Savings Accounts for Emergency Funds

A high-yield savings account is one of the safest places to keep your emergency fund. It gives you easy access to your money while earning more interest than many traditional savings accounts.
rnThis topic performs well because many people search for it when they are trying to improve their financial foundation. An emergency fund should be easy to access, separate from everyday spending, and safe from market swings. That makes high-yield savings accounts a practical choice for short-term savings.
rnWhen choosing an account, compare the annual percentage yield, monthly fees, minimum balance requirements, and withdrawal rules. A slightly higher interest rate can be helpful, but only if the account is also easy to use and does not charge you unnecessary fees. Convenience matters just as much as yield.
rnYou should also check whether the bank is online-only or has physical branches. Online banks often offer stronger rates because they have lower overhead, but some people prefer the comfort of in-person support. The best account depends on how you like to manage your money.
rnAnother factor is whether the bank offers fast transfers. Since an emergency fund may be needed quickly, you want an account that allows easy access without delays. Some accounts also connect well with checking accounts, making it easier to move money when needed.
rnA good emergency fund goal is usually several months of essential expenses. That money should sit in a place where it is protected, but still available when your car breaks down, a medical bill appears, or you lose income unexpectedly. A high-yield savings account is designed for exactly that purpose.
rnDo not use this account for long-term investing. Its job is not to maximize growth, but to keep your emergency cash safe and available while earning some interest along the way.
rnThe best high-yield savings account for an emergency fund is the one that combines safety, access, and a competitive rate.

Cyber Liability Insurance for Small Business

Cyber Liability Insurance: Protection From Digital Risk

Small businesses face growing cyber risks, including phishing, ransomware, data breaches, and email compromise. Cyber liability insurance helps cover costs after a cyberattack.

A cyber insurance policy may help pay for investigation, legal fees, customer notification, credit monitoring, ransomware response, and business interruption.

Why Small Businesses Need Cyber Insurance

Hackers often target small businesses because they may have weaker security controls. A single breach can damage reputation and create expensive recovery costs.

Businesses that store customer data, accept online payments, or use email should consider coverage.

What to Compare

When comparing cyber insurance quotes, review coverage limits, exclusions, deductible amounts, ransomware coverage, and security requirements.

Conclusion

Cyber liability insurance is an important part of modern business protection. It can help reduce financial damage after a data breach or cyberattack.
