Hi all, Please be aware that armed robberies on plots and farms are on the rise at an alarming rate.
These criminals are so bold as to attack early evening, This last one was at 7pm last Friday in Goromonzi while the family was cooking dinner and the criminals were not in a hurry to get away either and the ordeal went on for 1hr 30 minutes. The family was robbed and assaulted.
In another recent event my family too was subjected to a violent armed robbery 8 weeks ago in the Chakari area on a farm where again they invaded our home early evening and held us up for about 2 hours. I was severely assaulted with a crow bar, pipe wrench and I believe something else. I sustained 4 blows to the head various on the body and was hospitalized. I am still recovering from the head trauma.
The police are losing the battle and I am not sure what the reason is but farmers are under attack. I know of another armed robbery that happened on a farm around the same time but do not have the full details so I won't comment on that for now but that is now 3 robberies on farms recently just regarding the people that I know - can you imagine what we don't know about? This has surely become a pandemic and a farm used to be considered a safe place which has recently changed drastically.
