A CAT-AND-MOUSE chase by Kadoma Council traffic officers and a driver ended with the driver hitting and injuring six pedestrians.
Four were treated and discharged from hospital while two remain in hospital and are in a serious condition.
Acting Mashonaland West police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Effort Chapoto, told H-Metro the incident happened last week on Wednesday.
Chapoto said Nyasha Matorera parked a silver Nissan Note, registration number AGX 1659, along Cameroon Square, in the Kadoma CBD. He wasA CAT-AND-MOUSE chase by Kadoma Council traffic officers and a driver ended with the driver hitting and injuring six pedestrians.
Matorera then sped off and, in trying to evade arrest, hit an Econet booth and injured six pedestrians,” he said.
He abandoned the car and fled away from the scene.
All injured people were referred to Kadoma General Hospital where four of them were treated and discharged and two are admitted and are in a serious condition.
Chapoto said investigations were in progress.
