The three men were spotted by South African soldiers descending from the old bridge (Beitbridge Point of Entry) from Zimbabwe into South Africa. When they noticed the soldiers, the suspects dropped the bags they were carrying and fled into nearby fields, escaping back to Zimbabwe.
