Firstly, in a civilized , progressive society, citizens owe a debt of gratitude to their war veterans. Effortlessly,citizenry exhibits unconditional thankfulness , thoughtfulness and acknowledgement to their war veterans by consistently flashing unadulterated gestures of appreciation. War veterans selflessness by putting their precious lives in harm’s way in liberating the country should always be at the epicenter of a society’s national treasure .
Be that as it may , the gangsterism and barbarism exhibited by Chris Mutsvanga extinguishes / dilutes the importance of our war veterans, in this contemporary society. The chutzpah/ effrontery personified by Mutsvanga when he projected the lame narrative that the entire country is now held at ransom by the war veterans is seriously flawed. Platitudinously , Mutsvanga flashed the “ mentally colonized “ card on Biti. Regrettably, this card is too old for our generation’s comfort . Nicodemusly and conveniently, these nincompoops flash that card as a mitigating factor to justify their failures. Ironically , they are economically mortgaging the country to the Communists ( Chinese) through the contemporary neo- imperialism.
Biti’s rebuttal was classic . Explicitly, he denounced Mutsvanga’s platitudinousness and accordingly dismissed the banality of his lame intellectual hallucinations. He challenged the war veterans to turn back the hands of time and tire us back to the political and economic umbilical code to our former “colonial masters” , and we will untie ourselves .
Mutsvanga is an intellectual buffoon who mastered the artistry of intellectually going astray. Ironically and regrettably, he is a graduate at the most prestigious citadel of Academia- Boston University, in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Clearly the juxtaposition of Biti and Mutsvanga is an oxymoron. The novelty in the former is what the Republic needs ; the barbarism in the latter is cancerous and pathological to our civilization and democracy.
