Stop Wasting Data On Insults, Use Internet To Make Money, Tatenda Mavetera Mocks Suffering CitizensICT Minister Tatenda Mavetera has delivered a strong rebuke to social media users she says are squandering precious time and data on negativity instead of pursuing meaningful opportunities online.

In her Monday statement, Mavetera urged Zimbabweans to rethink how they use the digital space. “Instead of using social media for insults or negativity, let us from today choose to use the internet to sell our talents, goods, and services,” she said.

She emphasized that the internet is more than just a platform for chatter. “The digital space is a marketplace of opportunities — let’s use it wisely,” Mavetera declared.

Closing her message with optimism, the minister encouraged citizens to embrace positivity. “Happy Monday Everyone!!!” she added.

Her remarks come as part of the government’s broader call for digital transformation, pushing citizens, particularly the youth, to channel their online presence into innovation and economic progress.
