Our Reporter Robert Tapfumaneyi has been harrassed by MDC security while on duty to cover the SONA Address by MDC President Nelson Chamisa.
The security manning the entrance accused Robert of being a ZBCTV journalist despite wearing a press jacket for Sly Media Tv and a press card, dragging him out saying zbc is not allowed to cover the event.
The MDC spokesperson and the presidium have apologised to him in person
THE opposition MDC led by Nelson Chamisa says it apologizes for the assault inflicted by its “overzealous” security on Sly Media Tv journalist, the party’s deputy spokesperson Mr Luke Tamborinyoka blasted the security personnel for acting in an unprofessional and overzealous manner, saying he has also personally spoken to the assaulted journalist and tendered in the party’s apology.
Writting on Twitter Tamborinyoka said “Dear colleagues. My sincerest apologies over the way Robert Tapfumaneyi has been treated by our overzealous security personnel.
