NEWLY wedded Bulawayo woman pulled a shocker after disappearing a few hours after tying the knot at a colourful wedding ceremony. Then she spent the night with her secret lover, much to the chagrin of both sets of families.
Sisasenkosi Mpofu is alleged to have disappeared on the day she tied the knot with Mbongeni Moyo, a church elder at
the Seventh Day Adventist Church Iminyela branch. The wedding took place at the end of May.
Mpofu reportedly spent the night with her secret lover and returned the following day. When Moyo quizzed her on her disappearing act, she failed to explain where she had slept.
It is said Moyo snatched her cell phone, went through the messages and allegedly stumbled upon love messages she had exchanged with her secret lover, identified as Geshom Gwatiringa, a police officer stationed at Hillside Police Station. Now between a rock and a hard place, Mpofu revealed that she had spent the night with Gwatiringa.
The matter has now spilt into the courts, where Moyo is accused of teaming up with his brother-in-law to assault Gwatiringa.
