Tragedy struck in Chiredzi on April 13 when a man, believed to be a police officer identified only as Constable Nota, allegedly took his own life by setting his house on fire. He reportedly locked all the doors before the blaze, which destroyed the property completely. His remains were later recovered from the scene.
