Police bust smuggling syndicate in Mbire, seize 905 bales of contrabandPOLICE have busted a smuggling syndicate in Angwa, Mbire district, after arresting six men on charges of smuggling.
The police seized three trucks and recovered 905 bales of various items comprising clothing, shoes, pharmaceutical pills and cosmetics.
Zimbabwe Republic Police National Spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident, highlighting the police’s commitment to support the government’s fight against smuggling.
The suspects appeared at Guruve Magistrates Court, where they were remanded in custody until bail ruling on Tuesday.
