My brother, Norest Nyamukusa (44), was stabb*d to d€ath by his wife, Yona Mazenge (46), in Western Triangle, Highfield, Harare, on 29 July this year.
The incident was widely reported on social media. We were only informed that our brother had been stabb*d by his wife. At first, she told the police that he had accidentally fallen onto his toolbox. However, when the police returned to investigate further, they discovered a knife hidden under the bed.
She had been in remand prison since the incident but was released on the 8th of October after being granted US$50 bail.
As a family, we are confused, deeply hurt and disappointed by this development. We feel let down by the justice system because we believed that people accused of murd*r were generally not granted bail. We are struggling to understand how someone accused of taking another person’s life could be released on such a small bail amount.

Mortgage Refinance Rates: When Refinancing Makes Sense
Mortgage Refinance Rates: When Refinancing Makes Sense
Many homeowners consider refinancing when mortgage refinance rates drop or when they want to change loan terms. A refinance replaces your current mortgage with a new loan.
Read Daily News
People refinance to lower monthly payments, reduce interest rates, switch from an adjustable-rate mortgage to a fixed-rate loan, or access equity through a cash-out refinance.
When to Refinance Mortgage Loans
A home loan refinance may make sense if the savings are greater than the closing costs. Closing costs can include lender fees, appraisal fees, title fees, and taxes.
Cash-Out Refinance
A cash-out refinance allows homeowners to borrow against home equity. The funds may be used for home improvements, debt consolidation, or major expenses. However, it increases the loan balance.

Before refinancing, compare mortgage refinance rates, closing costs, monthly savings, and how long you plan to stay in the home.

Spinal Cord Injury Lawyer: Compensation After A Life-Changing Injury
A spinal cord injury can change every part of a person’s life. Victims may face paralysis, chronic pain, limited mobility, surgery, rehabilitation, and major lifestyle changes. A spinal cord injury lawyer helps victims pursue compensation.

These injuries may result from car accidents, truck crashes, falls, workplace accidents, medical errors, or violence.

The cost of care can be extremely high. Victims may need wheelchairs, home modifications, personal care assistance, therapy, medication, and future surgeries.

A lawyer can calculate both current and future damages. This is important because spinal injuries often require lifelong care.

Compensation may include medical bills, lost income, future care, pain and suffering, disability, and loss of independence.

Strong legal claims require medical records, expert testimony, accident evidence, and proof of negligence.

Best Credit Cards For Balance Transfers
A balance transfer credit card can help you pay down high-interest credit card debt faster. These cards often offer a low or 0% introductory APR for a limited time, allowing more of your payment to go toward the balance instead of interest.
rnrn
The best balance transfer credit card depends on the length of the intro APR period, transfer fee, regular APR, credit limit, and your payoff plan.
rnrn
A longer 0% APR period gives you more time to pay off the debt without interest. However, many cards charge a balance transfer fee, often a percentage of the amount transferred. You should calculate whether the interest savings are greater than the fee.
rnrn
Balance transfers work best when you have a plan. Divide your total balance by the number of months in the promotional period. This tells you how much you need to pay each month to clear the debt before interest begins.
rnrn
For example, if you transfer $6,000 and have 18 months of 0% APR, you would need to pay about $334 per month to pay it off before the promotional period ends.
rnrn
Avoid using the new card for extra purchases. New spending can make it harder to pay down the balance and may not qualify for the same promotional terms.
rnrn
Your credit score matters. The best balance transfer cards usually require good or excellent credit. If your credit is limited or damaged, you may not qualify for the longest promotional offers.
rnrn
A balance transfer card can save money, but only if you stay disciplined. If you miss payments, your promotional APR could end, and fees may apply.
rnrn
The best card is not just the one with the longest 0% period. It is the one that matches your payoff timeline, fees, and financial discipline.
