A 52-year-old teacher from Chitungwiza was held captive for five days and extorted of more than $5,000 after being lured into the bedroom of his 15-year-old female student. According to the charges, the student’s mother, 40-year-old Rumbidzai Tauro, is accused of being the mastermind behind the kidnapping.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

52-year-old teacher from Chitungwiza was held captive for five days and extorted of more than $5,000 after being lured into the bedroom of his 15-year-old female student.

According to the charges, the student’s mother, 40-year-old Rumbidzai Tauro, is accused of being the mastermind behind the kidnapping.

Tauro has now been arraigned before Chitungwiza resident magistrate Sheunesu Matova.

As reported by The Herald, the trial is ongoing and the State has so far led three witnesses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prosecuting, Bart Malunga alleged that on 30 November 2023, at around 5 PM, Gerald Madamombe (52) was lured by the minor to visit her at home.the gang started assaulting Madamombe with a hose pipe and tied both his hands and legs accusing him of giving them a blocked ATM card.
