On June 9, 2025, the residents of Mbizo 7 in Kwekwe faced a heartbreaking tragedy that left the community in shock. A 20-year-old young man named Tinotenda Keith Maombera lost his life in a tragic accident just as he was preparing to say goodbye to his grandmother.

As Tinotenda's grandmother was getting ready to return to Melsonia, she kindly asked him to fetch a few avocados for her to take along. Eager to help, Tinotenda quickly climbed a tall avocado tree. However, while he was at the top, he lost his balance and fell. He landed on a metal fencing pole, and the impact was devastating. Tinotenda suffered severe head injuries and, unfortunately, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The news of this sudden loss sent shockwaves through the community. A healthy young man, full of life and energy, had died in such a simple yet tragic way. The Mbizo ZRP police were called to the scene and arrived shortly after. They conducted an investigation and then took Tinotenda's body to the mortuary.

This tragic incident serves as a painful reminder of how quickly life can change. The people of Mbizo 7 are mourning the loss of a bright young man, and the sadness in the community is deeply felt.
