Reports say Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda is planning a “prayer meeting” for all MPs, but it’s really meant to push for a break from elections and to form a Government of National Unity. Some opposition MPs linked to Sengezo Tshabangu could get positions.
Other opposition members are also being asked to support the idea in exchange for roles. Mudenda is said to be aiming for the Vice-President position if the plan works.
