Investigations the death of a young woman, Juliana Makombe, at Harare Hospital

?Community Alert: Calls For Investigation After Young Woman Dies Following Abortion Procedure

HARARE – Concern is growing following the death of a young woman, identified as Juliana Makombe, at Harare Hospital on Tuesday morning under circumstances that relatives and friends say require urgent investigation.

Juliana was in a relationship with a junior doctor identified only as Tadiwa, working at Harare Hospital. It is alleged that after becoming pregnant, she was pressured to terminate the pregnancy.

Sources claim the procedure was allegedly carried out at a residence within the doctors’ accommodation area at Harare Hospital. However, it remains unclear whether the procedure was authorised, properly conducted, or complied with medical and legal requirements.

Following complications, Juliana was reportedly admitted to Harare Hospital, where she underwent surgery on Sunday. Friends say she initially survived the operation and was expected to be discharged on Monday, but doctors reportedly kept her under observation because she remained weak. She sadly passed away on Tuesday morning.

The allegations have raised concerns among relatives and members of the community, who are questioning the circumstances surrounding her death and the whereabouts of the doctor mentioned in the claims.

Family members are understood to have reported the matter to Mbare Police Station and are calling for a thorough, transparent, and independent investigation by the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Harare Hospital authorities, and other relevant agencies.

Authorities have not yet publicly commented on the allegations, and no findings have been released regarding the cause of death.

Community members are urging anyone with relevant information to cooperate with investigators so that the circumstances surrounding Juliana Makombe’s death can be fully established and, if any wrongdoing occurred, those responsible can be held accountable.

I need you to post this. I have a friend anonzi Juliana Makombe who sadly passed away yesterday at Harare Hospital. My friend was in a relationship with a junior doctor anonzi Tadiwa (I’m not sure of his surname), who was working at Harare Hospital.

Juliana became pregnant and that the doctor pressured her to terminat€ the pregnancy. The procedure was reportedly carried out at the junior doctor’s house, located within the doctors’ residences at Harare Hospital. It is not clear whether this was a properly conducted or authorised aborti0n.

Unfortunately, the procedure did not go well, and the doctor decided to admit her to Harare Hospital. She then underwent an operation on Sunday to correct the complications that had arisen from the aborti0n.

After the operation, she survived and was due to be discharged on Monday. However, because she was still weak, the doctors decided not to discharge her and kept her under observation. Sadly, she did not make it and passed away on Tuesday morning.

My concern is that the doctor in question is nowhere to be found, and the deceased’s relatives have been at Mbare Police Station, but nothing concrete seems to be happening. This is making people feel that something is not right.

I am appealing for justice for this innocent soul. We demand a thorough and transparent investigation by Harare Hospital authorities, the ZRP, and any other relevant authorities. If any wrongdoing occurred, those responsible must be held accountable.

Mortgage Refinance Rates and Home Loan Savings

Mortgage Refinance Rates: When to Refinance

Homeowners often consider refinancing when mortgage refinance rates are lower than their current rate. Refinancing replaces your existing mortgage with a new loan.

A refinance may help lower monthly payments, reduce interest costs, change loan terms, or access home equity.

Types of Mortgage Refinance

A rate-and-term refinance changes the interest rate or loan length. A cash out refinance allows homeowners to borrow against home equity and receive cash at closing.

Cash out refinancing can be useful for home improvements or debt consolidation, but it increases the loan balance.

Costs to Compare

Refinancing includes closing costs such as lender fees, appraisal fees, title fees, and recording fees. Homeowners should calculate the break-even point before refinancing.

Conclusion

Mortgage refinance rates can create savings, but refinancing only makes sense when the long-term benefit is greater than the cost.
