This parking attendant is not recording parking payments made to him. Please be careful when dealing with him. He operates at the corner of Mbuya Nehanda and Speke Avenue.

Today, 2 July 2026, we gave him ZIG 30 to register our Toyota Aqua, but he never issued a parking ticket or receipt. When we returned later, we discovered that our vehicle had been clamped.

When we asked him why he had not placed the ticket slip on the vehicle, he claimed that we had never given him any money. We then went to the City Parking Customer Care office along Julius Nyerere Way to report the matter. Unfortunately, the office attendant did not make any effort to follow up on our complaint. Instead, he dismissed us without answering our questions.

To make matters worse, we were forced to pay US$36 at their offices, despite the fact that we had already paid their parking attendant to register our vehicle. This is unacceptable.

I felt compelled to share this experience because such dishonest behaviour should not be ignored. What is the purpose of a customer care office if customers are not listened to or assisted? Instead of hearing both sides of the story, the attendant simply blamed us for not obtaining a receipt from their employee.

We paid their parking attendant in good faith, expecting him to issue a receipt. Yet, within minutes, our vehicle was clamped. At the very least, the customer care office should have contacted the attendant to verify our complaint before dismissing it.

We are paying customers and law-abiding citizens who follow the rules by paying for parking. We deserve fair treatment and proper customer service. This is simply not right.

To avoid any future inconveniences we highly encourage you to make sure you receive your receipt upon every parking payment.The same incident once happened to me but fortunately vendors who saw me giving him money defended meI think this issue is not new, in the process City parking introduced the online platforms to also avoid these scenarios, if you pay using cash it is your responsibility to make sure that you are issued with a receipt that speaks to what you have paid for. Also we are discouraged to carry a lot of money into town with us, lets normalise using online platforms.
