A Correspondent| The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have arrested Tonderai Bosha in connection with the theft of mine dump and gold ore from a local mine in Goromonzi.

Bosha, who was reportedly at the scene with former Mazowe Member of Parliament Campion Takura Mugweni, is facing charges of trespassing and theft. The case is being investigated under RRB 6023990 at Murehwa Police Station.

Eyewitnesses reported that Bosha and Mugweni were instructing workers to load the mine dump and gold ore into two tipper trucks. When approached, Bosha allegedly ignored questions about his authority and directed workers to continue loading.

According to one eyewitness, Bosha threatened the security team, saying, “Young man, I will kill you. Don’t play with me—I can do whatever I want now.” He then retrieved a gun from his vehicle, further escalating the situation.

Police arrived promptly after receiving a report from mine security and diffused the tense confrontation. This is not Bosha’s first encounter with the law. He was previously arrested as a ZANU-PF Central Committee member for leading an armed robbery at Trade Invest Africa Mine in Mudzi, where shots were fired, and six bags of gold ore were stolen.

This latest incident follows a recent complaint by ZANU-PF youth members, who accused Bosha of establishing an illegal tollgate during the Goromonzi lithium rush. Authorities continue to investigate the Goromonzi case, with more details expected to surface as inquiries proceed.
