In April 2024, Zimbabwean socialite Mai TT publicly criticized her daughter Fifi's ex-boyfriend, Amir Mhaka, labeling him "useless" following allegations that he had leaked Fifi's intimate photos online. Mai TT accused Amir of betraying her daughter's trust and engaging in blackmail and extortion.
In response, Amir vehemently denied any involvement in the leak. Through his lawyer, Admire Rubaya, he appealed to Police Commissioner General Godwin Matanga for a thorough investigation to clear his name. Amir asserted that he never received the photos from Fifi and suggested that the images might have been self-published or obtained by others through different means. He also raised the possibility of Fifi's involvement in platforms like OnlyFans, implying that the images could have been sourced from there.
Amir's legal team emphasized the need to examine both his and Fifi's mobile devices to trace the origin of the leaked photos. They argued that without such an investigation, attributing the leak solely to Amir was unjust. This development added complexity to the case, highlighting the challenges in determining accountability in digital privacy breaches.
