A 21-year-old man and his 77-year-old alleged accomplice appeared in court facing charges linked to a nursing recruitment scam. Prosecutors said they posed as Ministry of Health and Child Care recruitment agents and defrauded aspiring student nurses of more than US$1,500.

The court heard that the pair were accused of targeting people seeking entry into nursing training. The case centers on allegations that the two men used their recruitment role to take money from aspiring student nurses after representing themselves as agents working for the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
