Chiwenga, declared that the changes were illegal Mnangagwa

By Jealousy Mawarire

The Zanu-PF extra-ordinary politburo meeting that was supposed to discuss changes to the Zanu-PF constitution to align it with the mutilated national constitution was abandoned this afternoon after Vice President and 2nd Secretary of Zanu-PF, Rtd General Constantino Chiwenga, declared that the changes were illegal since they were based on provisions from an illegally changed national constitution.

VP Chiwenga, sources say, demanded to see the draft changes that party SG Advocate Mudenda had before President Mnangagwa joined the meeting.

In the presence of all other Politiburo members including First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa, VP Chiwenga told Mudenda that he (Chiwenga) was not going to allow ED and his cronies to illegally change the party constitution in the way they did the national constitution.

Chiwenga insisted that the changes to the national constitution did not come from the people. When Ziyambi Ziyambi tried to argue that the changes to the national constitution came from Zanu-PF conference resolutions, Chiwenga demanded to see the 21 Zanu-PF resolutions which gave birth to the 21 changes that CAB3 brought to the country's constitution.

Chiwenga demanded that Mudenda goes to ED and tell him that Chiwenga had said the changes are not going to be discussed.

It is said Mudenda went to ED's office at the Zanu-PF headquarters, the venue for the politburo meeting, and Mnangagwa then called the meeting to be abandoned.

The temperature is rising in the ruling party. We can only observe!Apa runner who was their support system financially akatsamaya and probably vakanyura mari refu saka haa maone.

Medicare Supplement Plans: How Medigap Works

rnrn

Medicare Supplement Insurance, also called Medigap, helps pay certain out-of-pocket costs left by Original Medicare.

rnrn

For many people, Medigap is appealing because it can make health care costs more predictable.

rnrn

Medicare says Medigap is extra insurance sold by private companies to help pay your share of costs in Original Medicare, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

rnrn

Who Can Buy a Medigap Policy?

rnrn

Generally, you need Original Medicare Part A and Part B to buy a Medigap policy.

rnrn

Medigap works with Original Medicare. It is not the same as Medicare Advantage.

rnrn

This matters because you generally cannot use Medigap to pay Medicare Advantage plan costs.

rnrn

What Does Medigap Cover?

rnrn

Medigap policies may help with costs such as:

rnrn

Part A coinsurance
rnPart B coinsurance or copayments
rnBlood costs
rnSkilled nursing facility coinsurance
rnPart A deductible
rnForeign travel emergency coverage, depending on plan
rnOut-of-pocket gaps in Original Medicare

rnrn

Coverage depends on the specific plan letter.

rnrn

Medicare provides a comparison chart showing what different Medigap plan letters cover.

rnrn

Medigap Plan Letters

rnrn

Medigap plans are standardized by letter in most states.

rnrn

Common plan letters include:

rnrn

Plan A
rnPlan B
rnPlan D
rnPlan G
rnPlan K
rnPlan L
rnPlan M
rnPlan N

rnrn

The benefits for a plan letter are standardized, but prices can differ by insurance company.

rnrn

For example, Plan G benefits are generally the same standard benefits regardless of company, but premium pricing and service may vary.

rnrn

Medigap vs. Medicare Advantage

rnrn

This is a major decision.

rnrn

Medigap Works With Original Medicare

rnrn

You keep Original Medicare and add Medigap to help with out-of-pocket costs. You may also buy a separate Part D plan for prescriptions.

rnrn

Medicare Advantage Replaces How You Receive Medicare Benefits

rnrn

Medicare Advantage plans are private plans that provide Part A and Part B benefits as an alternative to Original Medicare.

rnrn

The choice affects doctor access, network rules, drug coverage, monthly premiums, and out-of-pocket costs.

rnrn

When Is the Best Time to Buy Medigap?

rnrn

Medicare says your federal Medigap Open Enrollment Period lasts 6 months and starts the first month you have Medicare Part B and are 65 or older. During this period, you have important rights when buying Medigap.

rnrn

If you apply later, medical underwriting may apply in many situations, depending on your state and circumstances.

rnrn

Medigap Pros

rnrn

Potential advantages include:

rnrn

Predictable out-of-pocket costs
rnWorks with Original Medicare
rnNo Medicare Advantage network rules
rnHelpful for frequent travelers
rnStandardized benefits
rnCan reduce surprise medical bills

rnrn

Medigap Cons

rnrn

Potential disadvantages include:

rnrn

Monthly premium
rnUsually requires separate Part D drug plan
rnDoes not usually include dental, vision, or hearing extras
rnPricing can increase over time
rnMay be harder to buy later depending on rules

rnrn

How to Compare Medigap Plans

rnrn

Compare:

rnrn

Plan letter benefits
rnMonthly premium
rnRate increase history
rnCompany reputation
rnHousehold discounts
rnEnrollment timing
rnCustomer service
rnAvailability in your state
rnWhether you need Part D separately

rnrn

Do not choose only by brand name. Since benefits are standardized by plan letter, price and service matter.

rnrn

Who May Like Medigap?

rnrn

Medigap may be a strong fit for people who:

rnrn

Want provider flexibility
rnTravel often
rnPrefer Original Medicare
rnWant predictable costs
rnSee specialists frequently
rnDo not want network restrictions
rnCan afford a monthly premium

rnrn

Final Thoughts

rnrn

Medicare Supplement plans can help reduce the financial gaps in Original Medicare.

rnrn

If you want flexibility, predictable cost-sharing, and fewer network concerns, Medigap may be worth comparing. But timing matters, and premiums vary.

rnrn

Before buying, compare plan letters, prices, Part D needs, and long-term affordability.

Best Business Credit Cards for Small Business Owners

A business credit card can be a useful financial tool for small business owners. It can help separate personal and business expenses, build business credit, track spending, manage cash flow, and earn rewards on everyday purchases.

rnrn

The best business credit card depends on how your business spends money. Some cards offer cash back on office supplies, fuel, internet, phone service, shipping, restaurants, or travel. Others offer flat-rate rewards on all purchases. If your spending is spread across many categories, a flat-rate card may be easier to manage.

rnrn

Before applying, compare the annual fee. A card with a high annual fee may still be worth it if the rewards, travel credits, or business benefits exceed the cost. However, for smaller businesses, a no-annual-fee card may be a better starting point.

rnrn

Interest rate is also important. If you pay your balance in full every month, the interest rate may not matter as much. But if you carry a balance, a high APR can quickly become expensive. Business owners who need financing should compare credit cards with other options such as business lines of credit or small business loans.

rnrn

Some business credit cards offer employee cards. This can make it easier to control spending and track purchases by employee. Look for cards that allow spending limits, alerts, and category controls.

rnrn

Rewards can be valuable, but they should not encourage unnecessary spending. A good rule is to choose a card that rewards expenses you already have. For example, if your business spends heavily on advertising, a card with bonus rewards for digital ad purchases may be useful.

rnrn

Business credit cards may also include benefits such as purchase protection, extended warranties, travel insurance, rental car coverage, and expense management tools. These features can save money when used properly.

rnrn

To improve approval chances, check your credit score, business revenue, and existing debt before applying. Many business cards require a personal guarantee, meaning the owner may be responsible for repayment if the business cannot pay.

rnrn

A business credit card should support your financial system, not replace responsible budgeting. Track expenses monthly, pay on time, and avoid mixing personal purchases with business transactions.

rnrn

When used wisely, a business credit card can help small business owners improve organization, earn rewards, and manage short-term expenses more effectively.
